Once familiar with the sequence, you are able to perfect your poses (asanas) and enter a deeper level of meditative state of mind reaching a higher spiritual connection as well (samadhi). This traditional form of yoga passed down to us by K. Pattabhi Jois can, ultimately, enhance one's purpose (dharma) and strengthen one's resolve. Modifications taught. Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

yoga warriorYoga/Pilates Fusion on the Ball-- teaches yoga postures in a sequence and pilates moves using your own body weight with Swiss balls and exercise bands to demonstrate you do not need expensive equipment to strengthen your body. Tuesday afternoon from 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Yoga Soup for the Soul-- is a fun class with varied poses (asanas) and gives a taste of the different yoga styles available. Tuesday mornings from 10:15-11:15 a.m.

Sr. Yoga - everyone can do yoga (with the aid of modifications) and this class will help those of you who consider yourself Senior Citizens (and/or are AARP cardholders! ha, ha) improve flexibility, strength, balance, stamina, circulation, and overall well-being. If you have a particular video you wish to review and learn how to get in and out of the postures properly, Rebecca can help. By appointment.

Gilbert School Teacher Wellness Scholarship

One of the things we at The Art of Wellness want to do is give back to our community. We feel that teachers are among the most valuable people in our community. Our children are in your hands every day. We would like to reward you with the gift of health, longevity and total wellness. To do that, we have set up a scholarship that will be awarded to one lucky teacher and will provide complimentary services for one year.
